Promote your shop by purchasing ad space online, listing items in Etsy’s “Treasury” features or posting fliers around your area. Once you build a customer base, you can make a good living this way. You can also make extra creations to sell at local craft fairs and art shows to bring in extra revenue without paying a commission.

The Write Way
If you can write well, you can make money at home. Write articles for sites like Demandstudios.com or Associatedcontent.com; you can earn a flat fee for publishing and revenue shares when people read your articles. Or check with your local newspapers to see if they need anyone to cover articles on a freelance or part-time basis. Chances are, you can do most of your work from home that way. You can also earn money by writing resumes for people or tutoring at home. Just put an ad in your local paper.

Sales Options
If you have a lot of clutter taking up your house, why not clean up and make money at the same time? Sell your possessions on eBay or Craigslist. As long as your items are in good condition, someone will probably buy them.

You can also sell some of your books online at Amazon.com. Do you have a lot of paperbacks lying around that you’ll never read again? How about textbooks from finished college courses? Clear off your bookshelves and make money by selling them to people who will read them.
